What Are The Possible Reasons Why A Recently Acquired Company Might Change Its Name ?

If a company changes its name post acquisition from eg. ‘OldCompanyName’ to ‘OldCompanyName Services’, whats the possible reason for this ?
I realise one reason may be as simple as repositioning within the umbrella of parent company, but could there be anything more behind it ?
